He was also a peaceful person because beforehand the Apollo13 launched he got cut from the crew because they thought that he had the measles. subsequently on in the movie he found out that he never had the measles. I say hes peaceful person because NASA ruined his one and only meter to go to the moon by telling him he had the measles and he didnt. When he got to mission control he didnt get into a confrontation with the workers or anyone else for lying to him.
