Biological causes of ill-doing include a number of studies that have been developed
over a period of time, following such theories taught by Lombroso, Garofalo, and Goring
in search of answers to human behavior. Geneticist have argued that the predisposition to
act violently or aggressively in certain situations may be inherited. In other words, while
criminals are not born criminal, the predisposition to be violent or to commit crime may be
present at birth. To demonstrate that certain traits are inherited, geneticists have studied
children born of criminals, but have been raised by non-criminal adoptive parents (p. 75).




Biocriminology is the study of physical aspects of psychological dis pitchs, such as
depression, which show abnormalities in brain waves while sleeping in adults. This same
pattern was shown in the children of these adults (p.75). Such studies such as the, XYY
Syndrome, twin studies and adoption studies have been used in order to determine
causation. These findings support the claim that the criminal causes of biological parents
has more find on the child than does that of adoptive parents (p. 77). But thither has
