Francois Viete (1504-1603)-
Francois Viete, or known by his semi-Latin name Vieta was unmatched of the greatest mathematicians of the sixteenth century. Born in Fontenay France in 1594 and passed out in 1603 in Paris. Viete was a lawyer by current profession, as well as a member of Parliament. Viete withal devoted much of his leisure era to mathematics.
