As Scout grew up every chapter, she learned that Maycomb was much more than meets the eye. Not everything nor were everyone what they seem to be. When Scout first attended school in Chapter 3; lam Caroline wasn’t that smart – to her. She hated school f impart(a) because of girl Caroline’s foolishness of non wanting(p) to listen to her explanation most the Cunningham’s and why Walter did not have his lunch.
Her plot to not go to school started because – but of course it failed. She soon realised that no subject what she does, Atticus always had a reason to make her go to school and at that place’s no way she couldn’t not go to school. Atticus said both Miss Caroline and her learnt something that day. Atticus taught her that “you never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view/ climb into his clamber and walk around in it.” He was referring to Miss Caroline.
In Chapter 9, 10 and 11, three different type of courage was shown. To name Scout and Jem for the trial. To show Scout that there are more to courage than just an act. In chapter 9 she learned about moral courage, she walked away from a fight and keep her bespeak up for Atticus.
In chapter 11, Atticus precious the children to be there for Mrs. Dubose to learn that she is courageous as well because spiritually Mrs. Dubose wanted to die free. It was a preparation for the trial. Mrs. Dubose was just one of the Maycomb’s nasty people that the children are going to see more in the trial.
Chapter 10 is sandwich between chapter 9 and 11 because it carries the key theme of the book. “It’s a sin to pop out a mockingbird”, Atticus once told them when Scout and Jem got their air riffles for Christmas.
